War between North and South Sudan is unlikely. May be sometime after South's independence or after this fake called another unity.

But if war is to resume today, SPLA and coalitions (organs which are already against the regime) would reach Wad Halfa in shorter time than people think given SPLA current position and events. The regime knows this- any war with SPLA can't be on their advantage and it is the only reason they are now implementing CPA gradually. They have no choice.

Here are some areas to look at:

-More than any other time in history, SPLA today is present globally.
-SPLA today unlike before has secured lines of armed supplies and given current events in Darfur unlike 1992-3 when SPLA blatantly failed to establish the war front there, heavy weapons and tanks would follow to Darfur via South Sudan.
-SPLA luxuriantly is in full control of South Sudan- say already secured launching pad.
-SPLA friendship with Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and can't be underestimated and many of these countries are militants or war experts. Of course, many arguments can be underlined here (...some of these are also friends with Khartoum as well and so on...) but what you have to understand is that these countries would simply back South Sudan or anyone for a lot of reasons than Islamist regime in Khartoum. After all, they have done it before. Current regimes in Ethiopia and Eritrea was aided by Khartoum but as soon they secured their respective countries and instead of returning the favor, they abandoned NIF for SPLA.
-United States, Israel and many in the West and African countries including South Africa would support South Sudan.
-Oil wouldn't flow- the only reason oil field was opened in the first place was because of SPLA lost of momentum due to it lost of bases and armed supply line from Eithiopia in addition of 1991 abrupt defections and subsequent chaos among Southerners which followed. The regime today knows to gut, a dice on that is uncertain.
-Of course, arrogance and Islam blocked-minded Northerners will continue to keep the indicted criminal, Bashir in power, multiplying their worse nightmare.

If you can combine these with that of present sanctions against the regime in addition to World's dismay and impatience regarding Darfur against the regime, final blow and eradication of NIF can be certain.

Of course, unless the SPLA fails to call for total removal of the regime and choose to continue with it current stubbornness, obstinate:geek:

I suspect all chauvinist in all camps will realize geography is meaningless and the struggle will continue!

Those who pigeonholed their aspirations in terms of racial and cultural homogeneity will be the most disappointed.

The first war I suspect will be between the Ingaz and the SPLM.

People denying the war from happening are not honest. All the trends today shows the war will in fact is inevitable. No matter how people want to sugarcoat this. Borders issue, the southern blue nile, the nuba mt, the oil, the abyei and the fact that nif will not relinquish the south no matter what comes. If I were to be on the top of SPLA, I would do everything knowing that I am to fight the war sooner than later. The recent analysis from Francis Mading is in place and if you don't take it serious then you must be fooling yourself unknowingly.

"If the days are not made shorter, no one would be saved". In the same token, if the Sudanese do not unite and finish the evil cliques in Khartoum, our country will always be a battle zone. Even those of us who haven't led the war already shall in fact be leaders of warrying troops. The elites we have today are problems to every Sudanese who see the common good as the goal for the nation's prosperity and lasting peace.

Well, that is the worries we all have given how Kiir has been a failure since the war days but that won't change the reality. It is not a dead net thing but a possibility because it will be a miracle if all these issues solve peacefully.

I am certain too, there will be able leader coming from nowhere once time comes. Leaders go but come, thus great one will come.

I am all the way for separation, not because it is a good thing for our country, it is not.
But I also strongly believe if we stay one country, the SPLA and the NC will enter in a military struggle over power and both don't care about our lives, the people.
So let's separate and let each of the above two parties manages its region the way it see it. There would be no true democracy or freedoms in our country(s) any time soon.

And why the war ?
