I'm a fairly new member to the forum, but the limited experience in this forum has been a bit infuriating. The forum topic categories available are not sufficient, not even by a long stretch. I mean you just can not have only three sub forums. The main forum is in a state of anarchy.
My suggestion:
1- Give the forum more categories (e.g General, Political, Religious, Sports,....)
2- Increase the number of Mods on the site.
3- Assign the Mods to each sub-forum allowing users to easily identify and notify a mod to any violations without swamping specific Mods.
4- Implement a 'Report to Mods' function.

Welcome to the SDB and hope you enjoy yourself.
The issue of dividing the board into sub-categories was discussed and members have agreed the board stays as is for now.
just recently a number of moderators were added to the moderating team.
There's a report function it allows members to report posts that they feel violate the rules and regulations of the forum. you will find this icon http://sudanforum.net/sudan/buttons/report.gif on the left side of your screen.
you can also use the feedback and complaints section to contact moderators / and admins.

Now this is a bit too much coming from someone who is new to the site, maybe you should take sometime and then form an opinion.

lol, I have lots of experience with forums, and I can assure you that this forum is very chaotic. It takes too long to scroll through the pages of threads. People spam threads and then derail them all the time. It is just not reasonable to have all thread under one category. The difficulties that follow are just expected.
The reason I didn't need much to from an opinion is that I've been in another forum with only one discussion board, and it suffered the same symptoms as this one.
Now that I've been around the forum, I see that my fears are in place.
Remember, I'm just trying to help.

I'm still struggling to grasp the reason behind this one category forum thingy. It doesn't seem to have any purpose. Maybe when the forum didn't have many users it qualified as a good idea, but now threads are popping up by the minute. Having them all in one list is.... annoying.
