The US$60 million was advanced to the SPLM by Sudan’s government after the former rebel movement signed a peace agreement with Khartoum more than two years ago, according to deputy leader Bagan Amom.
The meeting also decided to take steps to change the movement into a political party and to discuss with Khartoum ways of resolving their different views on implementing the peace deal.
In particular the SPLM wants greater transparency in the handling of oil revenues sent to the south and a resolution of the disputed region of Abye, which lies between the northern and southern zones.
The SPLM is a member of the federal government of President Omar al-Beshir and has its own administration in the south following the end of the north-south war.

Messanger, LRA is the problem not the GOSS or Ugandan Govn't cuz we know where you going with this...See, everyone know whenever something goes wrong with the LRA, you start to panick...They are the one who not continues the Jubba Peace talk because they didn't want to GoSS to continue being mediator or the location which is jubba...That's why you been running up and down since the GOSS and Uganda singn military cooperation in which you fear the LRA are going to be crashed...I feel you too, but we would like to live in peace after more than 50 yrs of instability and war..Since, the LRA don't want our friendship, madiation, and venue, why can't they should they continue to live and terrorized southern citizens? You are not a Southern Sudanese to participate or drown any tribal remarks...I'm not dinak but i don't appericiate the way you're feuling up tribal war on this board when something goes wrong with LRA..GOSS officials will be deal with by GOSS and its citizens not foreigners... Just use your being here on this board for finding solutions to ugandian peace because that is where you from...Everyone know you're Acholi from Nothern Uganda which are the supporters of Joseph Kony and his LRA group..

Slow down cuz..take another look at the article again..there is nothing about dinka or ruling anybody in the article...the article clearly stated that SPLM give president Kiir to account for $60 millions dollar, meaning to find out how the money have been used or not if use, what happen to the money. Let bygone by bygone and let try to work together for betterness of ourselves and south sudan....we can continue going on and on everybody but we will still going to be in the same area and the consequences will fac us all...See this what messanger and this northerners are trying to get out of all this...thrown in something and while are fighting over it, they are slipping away and create more confusion and tension while they are benefiting from it..
