* when i checked my contributions....many of them were for greeting purposes(chit-chat).....why we don't have a social groups or chat rooms...i think it's great idea if you see any one around here.....and he\she is your friend and you want to say Hi for him\her, all you have to do is to invite him\her to chat room, and this is more effective than sending via PM or visitor messages -especially if you wanna make a long conversation-and of course than messing up him\his post with off-topic contribution...and you may enable laws for the chat rooms in order to protect the other's privacy there....

* why the original poster can't edit\delete the contributions in his thread..........all contributions which deleted\edited by moderators includes inappropriate contents....but sometimes there is other contributions which don't include such a contents but deserve deletion cause of it's off-topic contents ,,we need to keep our post on track:-?

*why we can't add the moderators to our ignore list? since they are members here and contribute via posting new threads or replying to other's posts....we may sometimes need to add them to our ignore list , i think moderation has to go through a different path.......i am talking about another effective mean than sending infractions\banning notice via PM.....or if there is another channel between moderators and members this will be better............if it is possible:roll:

*search strategy that used in searching inside members list is not effective.....especially when you search for the members with Arabic names......many times i gave up searching!

*Finally.....we need more emoticons, in order to stop stealing:lool:from the other forums\boards:wink:

We had a chat room, and had to disable it for security reasons. Will have it implemented on the next upgrade of the SDB.

Moderator have the ability to edit or delete posts at any time, general users posts are only editable in the first 5 mins, after that the ability to edit is disabled for that particular post. The reason been it was abused previously, where a post is been posted, and the original post has been edit, thus rendering all replies that follow meaningless.

Currently, general users can not add moderators to the ignore list since their postings may contain SDB admin related posts and thus has to be visible. Infractions is just a means of giving the users a heads up that his actions are not acceptable tot he SDB community.

Members Search in Arabic is a little tricky, If the wrong character or there a space or variant of the characters it will not pull up the names needed. I have no fix for it at the moment.

As for the emotion icons, will have some more added in the next release of the SDB

i didn't talk about the normal editing.......i talked about editing operation done by the original poster in his thread...........i think it's quite fair to edit\delete off-topic posts in your threads to keep it on track..........cause the off-topic posts really lead threads to the wrong path that you didn't think about it when you were writing the thread......think about this please,i joined many forums before and i found this facility there and it's really helpful.

i think this can be solved by adding special property for admin related posts...or moderators contributions may be categorized in two different formats....one as a normal members and the other as moderators, because....they do contribute as a normal members sometimes.....and they give us excuses to add them to the ignore list........so, we need an urgent solution!

YES.............will be waiting for the modification and till that time....i don't have an urgent case to search for.........so, any thing can be waited
