I have great respect for the Cmdr. Yusuf Kowa Makki...I heard the GOSS is planning on naming the new highway from Kaduguli- Bentiu-Rumbek after him as Yusuf Kowa Memorial Highway. I hope that happens soon...maybe his souls rest in peace...

He said because it was an american celebration. I stood in shock. This is a statement i never expected from my 6 year old. I had to look at myself a million times today and rethink my whole meaning of living here.
What the heck am i doing allowing my child to think that that was the real reason why we dont celebrate whatever holiday.

Islam is very simple, but we humans tend to complicate things.

So i waited for the perfect time to chat with him.

I assured him that the 2 Eids are a muslims honourable celebrations and as sudanese people we sure know how to make these holidays last forever.
I reminded him that he was born here. And he decideds what to celebrate as a muslim as well as american.
I asked how kids felt when they didnt get a valentines kiss or a card. He sad "sometimes sad". And i said Allah doest want you to feel sad. So you my dear are not obligated...

you asked them to respect northern muslims, and sum northerns don't respect other ppl anyways, and they also have the right to be mad at northerns after the genocide that occured;however, islam is a religion with 1.2 billion :) .

Get straight cuz...we only have respect for those who contribute the struggle like mentioned above individuals, not people like you or Al Bashir.....That's what the author mean in the post so, don't get so excited....No body cares how many are fellowers of Islam or anyother religions ok...As to regard of getting mad at northerners, i don't have to explain since we all know were its stand...
