Our dear Muaz,
Where is the new ignore list system that you promised to implement centuries ago?
Just so we are on the same page, we want a system that once you put somebody on the ignore list, you won't see his name AT ALL, neither on the main page or in the body of any post he writes in. In other words, that person won't exist after that in your SDB world once you sign in.

I will appreciate your reply very much and won't put you on my ignore list, ever, if you do it :D.

While at it, if you can implement the Zap button that Osama mentioned long time ago, that would be great.

Muaz, what do you say about implementing a hell-like section of the board where we can re-direct some naughty SDBers to log in without noticing if they misbehave? I mean, seriously, instead of banning, have them only see some fake hocus pocus posts where they can get busy with and leave them wondering where everyone else is at!!

Ok, just the ignore list for now and we'll call it even. What say you?

Thanks to the moderator who moved the post to this section. I am sure his intention was to provide Muaz with a lucid example of how it is done. One minute you are posting in the general section, and all of a sudden you are in the "other" section :mad:.

Dear Muaz,
You know when you go to a department grocery store and use their frequent shopper card, and then you see at the end of your receipt a statement that you have saved X% today with your card?

OK, here is another idea: when you implement the new ignore list (sometime this decade, hopefully), please add a button with a caption that says "calculate savings". I would like to press the button and see a message that says something like: "you have saved your marara X% of the total posts displayed on SDB today."

Please Mizo, my marara really needs this.

You guys think its easy to ask for these features and options? its not!

muaz is restricted with whatever the vendor phpBB provides out of the box, customization takes money and lots of time and most importantly it should not break the system updates.

I think the first thing this board needs is categories, Sports, Politics, Religion, hobbies, etc The admins don't have to be experts in the field to manage it.

Anyways, just curious if you have seen these features you're asking for any where on discussion forums on the net?

on second thought paragon, interesting that, to make such a strange request you must either be targeted by stalkers or hugely popular ...either way why is the question?

Completely removing a user name appearing defeats the main purpose and aspect of the SDB. Its meant to be that way. Try to be diligent on not pressing on the username.. and then your ignore list will work..

Well, Zuzu, I can't help it; when I find a button I push it, and that causes me problems sometimes. Plus, being Sudanese comes with the shamar factor, which results in us, eventually, reading what the ignored person wrote and getting our marara affected this way.

Now, Abul zooz, I have a dream... that one day, you will implement the new system. And in that dream, all the ignored people will never exist in our SDB world. Our world will then be (close your eyes here and have someone else read the rest of this message for you) peaceful, rosy, and serene. Our mararas will be intact, our thoughts will be clear, our heart will beat with love and friendship, and our lips will keep a perpetual smile (now open your eyes and read yourself).

Muaz, I have a feeling that we already are in the hell-like section and you are not telling us :wink:. I don't see many of the cool people who were here in the past. You did it, didn't you? :)

I think it's easy to ask. But I agree it's difficult for our request to be implemented though :p. I am just pulling his leg :lool:.

I haven't seen them implemented, no, especially the hell-like section. I know the PhpBB programming could be frustrating, but I am sure Muaz can handle it 8).

I am afraid of checking my blood pressure these days because of your delay in implementing the really "suffix" ignore list :confused:.

If a vein explodes in me because of what's written on your board these days before you suffix it, but I don't die, I am suing you :cool:
