Hi everyone,
I am currently reading this book by Deborah Scroggins called 'Emma's War' and I am finding it really fascinating. It is mainly about the sudanese civil war (second) and about the aid worker Emma McCune who ended up marrying Riek Machar.
The book is written really well and contains many hard facts said as they are! It isn't biased but includes many people's opinions etc - but again the interesting thins is the hard facts! atrocities are described alongside the beauty of Sudanese sunsets and the hospitality and character of the people. it is a must read!
If you've already read the book, let me know what you think. apparently, i heard that its going to be made into a film starring nicole kidman - i'll look it up and confirm it.
